The Training School at CPGS is the centre for SWiS training in Portsmouth. This training is delivered in collaboration with Highbury FE College which is commissioned by the TS to tutor the L2 and L3 certificate courses.

The Training School at CPGS has, for several years now, acted on behalf of the LA in quality assuring the NQT induction processes in all the Authority's 70+ schools. Portsmouth has about 130 NQTs per year.

Herne Bay High School (HBHS) has a history of integrating a sound approach to Performance Management (PM), however it was felt that with our new Training School (TS) status and our clear focus on supporting and developing our staff that we needed to rethink our existing approach to PM in order that we established a firm foundation on which to build our TS.
